Archivo is a grotesque sans-serif by Argentine foundry Omnibus-Type, developed from their earlier Archivo Narrow and reminiscent of late nineteenth-century American typefaces. It was drawn for simultaneous use in print and digital news contexts, with a tall x-height and sturdy, slightly squared forms that stay crisp in dense layouts. The family spans thin to black, making it a capable one-family brand system.
