IBM Plex Mono is the monospaced member of IBM's Plex superfamily, drawn by Mike Abbink and Bold Monday with nods to the typewriter heritage of the IBM Selectric. Its italic borrows curves from the Selectric's cursive golf ball, giving code and technical copy an unusually characterful voice for a fixed-width face.
