Libre Baskerville is Pablo Impallari and Rodrigo Fuenzalida's 2012 revival of the American Type Founders' Baskerville, optimized for web body text. Compared with print Baskervilles it has a taller x-height, wider counters and less stroke contrast, so John Baskerville's transitional elegance survives at 16px on a screen. It ships in regular, italic and bold, which is all a disciplined text setting needs.
